College Scholarship

The Blaze Fast Pitch Softball Association is pleased to announce the beginning of a College Scholarship Program available to Blaze players.  The Executive Board unanimously voted to begin awarding college scholarships on an annual basis to applicants who are taking their game to the collegiate level.

In order to qualify, applicants must meet/complete the following requirements: 

  • Applicants must be a full-time rostered member on an existing Blaze Fast Pitch Softball team or, must have been a full-time rostered member on a Blaze Fast Pitch Softball team for the most recent season in the current year.  Priority will be given to those members who have played with the Blaze for multiple seasons.

  • Be playing or committed to play on a college softball team for the next college season.  This may be verified with their college coach (their contact information is required on the application).

  • Complete a 200 to 300 word essay on how the Blaze has helped you to prepare for college softball and everyday living.

  • Have a Blaze Fast Pitch Softball coach endorse your application.

  • Your completed College Scholarship Application and essay must be received by July 15 (end of the season).  Mail your application and essay to:

The Blaze Fast Pitch Softball Association's Executive Board will review all applications and vote to determine who will be awarded college scholarships.  Winners will be announced at the annual Blaze Picnic and posted on this website.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at blazefastpitchorg@gmail.com.
